Pat Whittaker

I am a qualified hypnotherapist and I also have a strong belief in using other natural solutions to problems wherever possible.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher for 7 years and then a Headteacher for 17 years in London. I have had many years experience in counselling people in both of these roles and my main interest has always been in helping people. I also have a Certificate in Counselling Skills and I have worked in a Rape Crisis Centre in Canada.

I am able to treat many conditions using hypnosis, but I specialise in weight loss - both by the very effective Gastric Band Hypnosis system - (surgery in the mind), and also by conventional hypnotherapy (for those people who do not wish to believe that they have a gastric band fitted), smoking cessation, issues with pain and in helping to overcome infertility.

Education

I have a degree in Sociology and Philosophy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, a Diploma in Auricular Acupuncture and an RSA Certificate in Counselling Skills, and many, many postgraduate qualifications in relevant areas (worth noting - several courses in giving up smoking, weight loss and in helping to overcome infertility).
